WinCoDecPRO is a fraudulent program. It displays numerous pop-ups and system tray alerts urging people to install audio and video codec. In some cases Win CoDec PRO claims it can increase quality of video and audio and in some cases it states that multimedia codecs are corrupted. WinCoDec PRO demands paying either $49.99 or $79.99 to fix the issues. WinCoDecPRO is a malware and it won’t do any good to a system.

Here are some of fabricated notifications loaded by WinCoDecPRO:

Messages like that are fake alerts displayed by the rogue antivirus software. There is no media codec onto your computer which is out of date – there is fake sofware called WinCoDecPRO.

Do not update any codec just remove WinCoDecPRO rogue antivirus.
