SpySheriff is a Rogue Anti-Spyware application. SpySheriff secretly installs itself onto your computer and through a series of fake warnings it attempts to fool you into buying SpySheriff. SpySheriff may look like a legitimate program but don’t be fooled, it is malicious and may also be bundled with trojans and other spyware/malware. SpyAxe is malware and is categorized under Rogue Anti-Spyware. SpyAxe secretly installs itself onto your computer and issues fake warnings in order to manipulate you into purchasing the full version.
When detecting SpyAxe look for warnings in your task bar that will appear to be from Microsoft Security Center. The warnings will alert you that your computer is infected with spyware and will urge you to run their anti-spyware tool where they prompt you to purchase. SpyAxe is just one of many Rogue AntiSpyware programs on the internet today.
Take care to avoid or remove rogue anti-spyware products. Titles such as SpyFalcon, SpywareQuake, SpywareStrike, SpySheriff, and Pest Trap are all Rogue Anti-Spyware.

SpywareStrike is malware (malicious software) . Rogue Anti-Spyware, SpywareStrike attempts to convince you into paying for software to fix a problem which does noit exist. SpywareStrike alerts with a message exclaiming
"SPYWARE INFECTION! Your system has been infected with Spyware and windows recommends using a spyware removal tool to prevent loss of data. Using this PC before cleaned of all spyware threats is highly discouraged.”
There is also the likely hood that SpywareStrike can disable particular Windows essential components such as System Restore and Date and Time application. Spyware Strike is just one of many Rogue AntiSpyware programs on the internet today. Take care to avoid or remove rogue anti-spyware products. AntiVermins is a hoax anti-spyware application that is commonly attributed with SpySheriff malware program. Launches on Windows startup, AntiVermins can record personal keystrokes / data and hijacks online browser. AntiVermins can also distribute other PC threats in computers and it can disable installed programs in computers’ system. Although AntiVermins is only a medium risk PC threat, users are still advised to immediately remove the program from infiltrated computers.

Zlob.MediaCodec is a trojan downloader that calls itself as a Codec installer, which is needed for playing a file in Windows Media Player. Zlob.MediaCodec may come bundled with fake anti-spyware programs such as SpywareQuake, SpySheriff or PestTrap. After installation Zlob.MediaCodec opens up a backdoor security hole, allowing remote attackers to control your computer, execute programs, download additional malware, and steal personal data and credit card information. Be aware of this Trojan.
