How to manually remove WinFixer

To get rid of spyware such as WinFixer you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other WinFixer related files from your computer.

1. Uninstall WinFixer from Control Panel
   Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
2. End these WinFixer processes:
   winfixerscannerinstall.exe
   winfixer2005setup.exe
   winfixer20.exe
   uwfx5lp_0001_0803netinstaller.exe
   uwfx51.exe
   To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
3. Unregister WinFixer DLL files:
   crxml.dll
   pcheck.dll
   compcln.dll
   df_fixer.dll
   df_proxy.dll
   ffcom.dll
   To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll"
4. Delete WinFixer registry entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\winsoftware\winfixer 2005\settings lastscanerrorcount HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\winsoftware\winfixer 2005\settings overwriteandbackupfilestopath

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\winsoftware\winfixer 2005 installpath
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\winsoftware\winfixer 2005 productcode
   To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
   Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.

5. Search and delete these WinFixer related files:
   update.log
   support.url
   wfx5.url
   template.dbx
   updater.exe
   df_kmd.sys
