Total Security description

Total Security is a rogue antispyware software. It imitates computer scan, but really does nothing just wants to be paid $49.95 or $79.95. It loads popups identical to ESET NOD32 antivirus:

“System files modification alert!
WARNING Total Security Alert! System files modification alert! Some critical system files of your computer were modified by malicious program. It may cause sytem instability and data loss. Click here to block unathorised modification by removing threats.”

“New database update is available
WARNING Total Security Alert! Automatic updating is necessary to get you system protected in real time against new and emerging viruses, worms, and troyans. Regular updating is needed to prevent your PC from latest virus threats that can lead to system slowdown, freezes, crashes, and data loss.”
Don’t get fooled, Total Security is not a real security program.
How to get rid of Total Security

How to manually remove Total Security

- Uninstall Total Security from Control Panel
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall. - End these Total Security processes:

To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button. -
Unregister Total Security DLL files:
winsource.dll
To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll" -
Delete Total Security registry entries:

To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.
Download Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 to scan for registry errors. -
Search and delete these Total Security related files:

Uninstall TSC.lnk
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\[random numbers]\[random numbers].exe
