How to manually remove Qscan

To get rid of spyware such as Qscan you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other Qscan related files from your computer.

  1. Uninstall Qscan from Control Panel
    Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
  2. End these Qscan processes:
    QScan.exe
    QScancfg.exe
    QScanMon.exe
    uninst.exe

    To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
  3. Delete Qscan registry entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\qscan
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QScanPartner
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QScan
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\qscan

    To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
    Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.
    Download Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 to scan for registry errors.
  4. Search and delete these Qscan related files:
    C:\Program Files\QScan
    C:\Program Files\QScan\QScan.exe
    C:\Program Files\QScan\QScancfg.exe
    C:\Program Files\QScan\QScanMon.exe
    C:\Program Files\QScan\uninst.exe

  5. Block Qscan malicious domains:
    www.qscan.co.kr
