McAVG description

McAVG a.k.a. McAVG 2011 is a fake anti-spyware application pretending to be a legitimate computer protection tool. This is a scam and none of the information it displays should be trusted. How to manually remove McAVG

To get rid of spyware such as McAVG you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other McAVG related files from your computer.

1. Uninstall McAVG from Control Panel
   Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
2. End these McAVG processes:
   setup.exe
   mcavg.exe
   To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
3. Delete McAVG registry entries: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell "%AppData%\[random].exe"
   To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
   Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.

4. Search and delete these McAVG related files:
   %AppData%\[random].exe
   %temp%\setup.exe
