KSecurity description

KSecurity is bogus application which spreads via trojan which enters the system through its vulnerabilities and makes a perfect background for malware to sneak. It downloads and installs itself automatically without user’s knowledge.

How to manually remove KSecurity

To get rid of spyware such as KSecurity you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other KSecurity related files from your computer.

  1. Uninstall KSecurity from Control Panel
    Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
  2. End these KSecurity processes:
    k-security.exe
    k-securitydm.exe

    To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
  3. Delete KSecurity registry entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "KSecurity"
    To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".

  4. Search and delete these KSecurity related files:
    k-security.exe
    k-securitydm.exe
