How to manually remove DiskClean

To get rid of spyware such as DiskClean you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other DiskClean related files from your computer.

1. Uninstall DiskClean from Control Panel
   Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
2. End these DiskClean processes:
   DiskClean.exe
   DCAutoUpdate.exe
   avsrv.exe
   Uninstall.exe
   avSubEngine.exe
   dcMon.exe
   dcReg.exe
   DCreport.exe
   To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
3. Unregister DiskClean DLL files:
   DCEngine.dll
   DCmonRemote.dll
   To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll"
4. Delete DiskClean registry entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DiskCleanMain
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DiskClean
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\diskcleanmain
   To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
   Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.
   Download Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 to scan for registry errors.
5. Search and delete these DiskClean related files:
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\DCEngine.dll
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\DiskClean.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\DCAutoUpdate.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\DCUpdateServer.dat
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\Uninstall.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\partner.ini
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\SoDCUpdateServer.dat
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\avsrv.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\avsrvc.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\avSubEngine.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\DCFilterDriver.SYS
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\dcMon.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\dcReg.exe
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\DCmonRemote.dll
   C:\Program Files\DiskClean\etc\DCreport.exe
