ClickPotato is an adware which is covered as movie codec that has to be installed to view movies online. This malicious application loads pop-ups and it also installs additional malware and tricks people into downloading more infections. It is also from the same aawdare family as Zango or Pinball.
After this adware is installed automatically onto your system it modifies the Windows registry and creates an entry that will allow it to execute each time the computer is started up. ClickPotato shows few rogue messages: “You must install the movie codec to play movie“ and “In exchange for access to an endless array of popular videos, ClickPotato displays occasional promotional messages based on your Web search and browsing.” The last message is shown when you choose to install the malicious program.

- Uninstall ClickPotato from Control Panel
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall. - End these ClickPotato processes:

To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button. -
Unregister ClickPotato DLL files:
npclntax_ClickPotatoLiteSA.dll
ClickPotatoLiteSAAX.dll
ClickPotatoLiteSABHO.dll
ClickPotatoLiteSAHook.dll
To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll" -
Delete ClickPotato registry entries:
