How to manually remove C Components

To get rid of spyware such as C Components you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other C Components related files from your computer.

  1. Uninstall C Components from Control Panel
    Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
  2. End these C Components processes:
    ccagent.exe
    ccmain.exe
    uninstall.exe

    To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
  3. Delete C Components registry entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\CComponents
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “%AppData%\CComponents\ccagent.exe”
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon “%AppData%\CComponents\ccmain.exe”

    To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".

  4. Search and delete these C Components related files:
    %AppData%\CComponents\ccagent.exe
    %AppData%\CComponents\ccmain.exe
    %AppData%\CComponents\faq\guide.html
    %AppData%\CComponents\faq\images\[range of digits 05-10].png
    %AppData%\CComponents\settings.ini
    %AppData%\CComponents\uninstall.exe
    %DesktopDir%\CComponents.lnk
