How to manually remove ByeClean

To get rid of spyware such as ByeClean you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other ByeClean related files from your computer.

1. Uninstall ByeClean from Control Panel
   Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
2. End these ByeClean processes:

   launcher.exe
   ByeCleanUp.exe
   To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
3. Unregister ByeClean DLL files:
   ByeCleanRes.dll
   ByeCleanFunc.dll
   To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll"
4. Delete ByeClean registry entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ByeClean\"NoRepair"="1"

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ByeClean\"UninstallString"="'"C:\Program Files\ByeClean\uninstall.exe"'"
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ByeClean\"DisplayName"="'ByeClean'"
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ByeClean
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "ByeClean"="'"C:\Program Files\ByeClean\launcher.exe" "C:\Program Files\ByeClean\ByeCleanUp.exe" /first'"
   To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
   Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.
   Download Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 to scan for registry errors.
5. Search and delete these ByeClean related files:
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\ByeClean.exe
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\uninstall.exe
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\launcher.exe
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\ByeCleanUp.exe
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\ByeCleanRes.dll
   C:\Program Files\ByeClean\ByeCleanFunc.dll
   C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Desktop\ByeClean.lnk
   
6. Block ByeClean malicious domains:
   byeclean.com
