AV 7 description

AV 7 is a bogus system that disguises as an anti-spyware application to mislead computer users. This parasite is installed through the malware that will download the bogus system at users computer without his knowledge. It is also a copy of Antivirus 7 malicious program. How to manually remove AV 7

To get rid of spyware such as AV 7 you need to remove processes, search and delete registry keys, DLL and other AV 7 related files from your computer.

  1. Uninstall AV 7 from Control Panel
    Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Double click to uninstall.
  2. End these AV 7 processes:
    antivirus7.exe
    To stop processes press Ctrl + Alt + Del or click Start > Run > type "taskmgr". Select malicious process in the list and click "End Process" button.
  3. Unregister AV 7 DLL files:
    UpdateExplorer.dll
    To unregister DLL click Start > Run > type "regsvr32 /u PATH_TO_FILE/FILE.dll"
  4. Delete AV 7 registry entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EVA246
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{E2BFE352-A303-4EA8-88FE-CE35361D7E8B}
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{E2BFE352-A303-4EA8-88FE-CE35361D7E8B}
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “AV7?
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform “WinNT-EVI 12.03.2010?

    To open registry editor click Start > Run > type "regedit".
    Warning! Manual registry entries editing may cause damage to your system.
    Download Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 to scan for registry errors.
  5. Search and delete these AV 7 related files:
    %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\AV7
    %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\AV7\Antivirus7.lnk
    %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\AV7\Uninstall.lnk
    %Program Files%\AV7
    %Program Files%\AV7\antivirus7.exe
    %WINDOWS%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\tmp.edb
    %WINDOWS%\system32\UpdateExplorer.dll
    %UserProfile%\Desktop\Antivirus7.lnk
